Project Overview
KMD Reels Pro is a fully custom WordPress plugin built to help brands deliver TikTok-style short-form video experiences directly on their website. Designed for speed, interactivity, and monetization, the plugin transforms any WordPress page into a modern vertical-video feed built for engagement.
This project demonstrates my ability to design, architect, and develop high-performance custom plugins from scratch — including UX planning, feature engineering, admin interface design, and frontend JavaScript experiences.
The Challenge
Short-form video dominates digital engagement, but websites still rely on outdated video players or embed blocks. The client needed:
- A mobile-first vertical video viewer
- A fully customizable UI
- Autoplay + swipe navigation
- VAST Ad support for monetization
- A simple way to manage reels directly inside WordPress
- A lightweight, performance-optimized frontend experience
The existing plugins on the market were either too limited, too heavy, or lacked real TikTok-like functionality. So I built a custom solution.

- Product planning
